"Just touched down in London Town"...

Well not "just" but I love that American Boy song by Estelle and every time I think of London, I sing that line in my head lol. anywaaaaaaay...

WE MADE IT TO LONDON...AND WE'VE BEEN HERE FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS NOW!!!! So surreal!!! Our wifi FINALLY connected today so as our screams of joy rang out through Leyton I knew I wanted to celebrate this occasion with a post since I'm suppose to be gettin' my blogging life while here. I feel like there is SO MUCH to download from my brain right now but pictures are way prettier than a bazillion words so this is where I share my instagram life with you. I have shamefully come to London without an ACTUAL camera *gasps of horror* so have only had my gracious camera phone to capture my first few months of London life thus far. But don't worry, I have a camera on it's way and I'm so excited to get it and start snapping my little life away! ANYWAY, got your scrolling finger ready?...GO! :)

This is a WHOLE mish-mash of the last 3 months! What I've been wearing, eating, doing, seeing and just life in general! Like I said, I can't wait to get my camera and start blogging again for real! I love looking back on memories made. London is a totally a giant cup of craziness! So many ups and downs in terms of emotions, decision making and getting things done to be able to settle in a home and start working to fund this life! Stir in homesickness and the beginning of a cold Winter when it's Summer at home in Australia and already it has been a bloody wild ride! I can not even begin to know what the next 3 months will hold (besides the freezing cold) but I want those coming memories to be here on the blog! I'll leave it there for now.

First time in a long time...

Hahaha. I'm laughing because here I go again beginning my first blog post in aaaaaggggeeeeessssss with the "oh my gosh it's been so long since my last blog post" spiel. There is really no brilliant excuse...the same ones still ring true. It's either A) I haven't had the time or B) I haven't had the inspiration. This time it is a combination of both. It seems lately that when I have the time I don't have the inspiration and when I have no time I have truckloads of things to write about and share. BLEHH. Well to my surprise the stars and moon have aligned and here I am typing away and it feels nice to be back in my own tiny, little space in Internet Land.

So I am very excited to announce to Internet Land and random passers-by that LONDON FLIGHTS ARE BOOKED, I REPEAT, LONDON FLIGHTS ARE BOOKED!!! And I'm kinda shit scared lol! Myself, my sister and two of my close friends are packing up and heading to London to teach for however long we can last (Visa maxes out at 2 years!) in September this year!

The aim is to teach to make that paper, then in turn use that paper to explore and travel Europe! This will be a big, fat, awesome thing to tick off my bucket list which I am saaaaahhhh excited about. As a kid we didn't have much but dreams were in abundance. It's so weird to now be growing up and to be able to work hard for the ways and means to fulfil dreams. To say we are blessed is an understatement.

The to-do list of things to get done before we fly out is RIDICULOUS but...challenge accepted!

I hope wherever you are if you're reading this, that your list of dreams is being ticked off one by one. You owe it to yourself to live the life you've always wanted regardless of your past or present circumstance.

Make it happen.

Love & Blessings x

Aussie Curves: Over sized...

Hello AC beauties! What a PERFECT weekend for the over sized challenge. It may not look like it in the pictures but the wind is blowing theeeee most chilling breeze in Mildura today! Thankfully my sister and I have a closet full of thrifted beauties like this over sized Rose cardigan. It was a no brainer to chuck this on today as we left the house to check out our local Farmer's Markets! The credit for this awesome find goes to my sister who picked this up a little over a year ago. Since then we have worn it to death and will continue to do so until the wool falls to pieces off our bodies, lol. You can easily say it's well loved. For me it is just so snugly and has the perfect length. It's an "instaoutfit" maker...one of those pieces that just calls for the basics as a foundation and then brings all the BAM to the party once on!

What I'm wearing:

  • Over sized Rose pattern cardigan
  • Black tights, Kmart size 18
  • Creeper style canvas shoes, size 11. I picked these babies up in Harlem, NYC from a store called Pay Half.
  • Silver hoops, Forever 21.
  • Round Frame sunnies, Diva.

A closer peek at the earrings...

I really love the over sized look. My love for all things over sized began way back when  I was hell bent on making sure my figure was well hidden under lengths of flowing fabric *bless*. It has now grown into something I just aesthetically love on plus size/straight size women alike. Now that I think about it I think it's because among many other things, I am quite the fan of modesty in women's fashion! I love all things "lady like" and "old school feminine". Don't get it twisted...I always love a good mini or body-con when the occasion calls for it but I somehow always find my way back to high necklines & elbow sleeves :)

I hope you are all keeping warm this Winter! Is anyone else pining away for Summer like me? haha!
