Three.

I am lucky. I am immeasurably lucky and for more reasons than one. One of my biggest blessings in life are, without a doubt, my nieces and nephews; of whom I am Godmother to two! Birthdays to me are always a special time of reflection on how far we've come and where we're heading next. Last week our family celebrated my niece/God Daughter's 3rd Birthday at our local Wildlife Park. She is merely 3 but don't hold that against her. Watching her explore the highs and lows of the park with so much spunk and gumption was the highlight of the day. Chatting to her you'd never think she just turned 3. Lil Miss can hold a conversation with the best of us with a vocabulary that could rival those 10x her age. She is special.

I am really on the countdown to the big move to London now (116 days, OMGGG). This has me constantly thinking about how much I'm going to miss the little things as my babies will continue to grow and change without me here. I am reminded on days like this though, of the extent of my family's love and care for our little ones. It is a very special and reassuring thing.

My birthday wish to you on your 3rd birthday Mia-Rose is that you always stay close to your big, crazy family that loves you unconditionally, that you never stop asking questions because knowledge is power and that you live many, many years of happiness and joy that knows no bounds. I will miss every ounce of you when I'm gone God Daughter but one day you will be old enough and when the time is right I will take you out to explore this wide world.

Love & blessings forever little one,

Happy Birthday.

Aussie Curves: Orange!

Sunday, sunshine and a birthday breakfast date with the ladies...perfect reason to bust out some orange for Aussie Curves! Introducing our beautiful friends, sisters Anne, Josie & Mauana. Anne and my sister Mele went to College together and now teach at the same school. It was Anne and Josie's birthdays this and last week and mine the week before that so we finally got the chance to get together for a little celebratory feed.
The food was yummy and the conversation was even yummier! Lots of giggles were had! I've said this before I'm sure but there is nothing better than good food teamed with good company...a winning combination.

What I wore:

Purple blazer, $6 Salvos/Orange sheer tunic, Big W $25 last season/ Tube skirt, $5 Kmart/Cuff flats, Big W, $23 three seasons back

Earrings $2, MS Opshop/ Wooden carved ring, $12 Caribbean Markets Melbourne/Shades, gifted from a friend/Handbag, $2 Vinnies :)

L-R: Mauana, Josie, Anne & Mele

Are you an orange fan? I love citrus tones and colours, especially in Spring and Summer! I love this sheer top of mine because of its detailing around the neck line and the length. I loooove long flowy tops as it hides my probplem areas best, haha. My own personal magic trick lol. ;)

I can't wait to check out my fellow Aussie Curves lovelies with their take on "OR-ange" as our fellow Americans would say...haha.

Big Love x

` CJY - Happy Born Day !

Today is my sisters birthday. I LOVE my sister. My sister is beautiful, thoughtful, generous, fresh, creative, kind and oh so frikkin cool! My sister is also tough, strong willed & opinionated. My sister packs one hell of a right hook and also therefore can be danderous at times. I LOVE my sister.

Happy Birthday my "Practical Magic" partner in crime. You know me better than anyone, my accomplice, business partner and friend in everything I do and although I don't say it much, SHIT...I LOVE YOU!

So yeah...didn't really know I had such powerful poetry ability but as you've seen above I'm pretty much a heavy-weight champ *dusts my shoulders like a cool dude* LOL. But in all seriousness I do love my sister and when my mind randomly stumbles past all that we've lived through so far I kinda feel sorry for anyone who's never known the love, loyalty, friendship, beauty and security in a sister and I also think of how coming to college has blessed me with so many other sisters. We do not share the same blood but we share a love, understanding and humour which binds almost as tightly!

TO MY SIS CJY: I hope that even though you are in the middle of the Western Desert at this moment in time, you're happy and most importantly healthy! Chicago, NYC & Cali await and I am so EXCITED that I get to share it with you and our other fiah-crackurr sistur Emma! :)

` don't know why but something told me to leave this song here for you ;)

"Skin is caramel with those cocoa eyes even got a big sister by the name of Chocolate Thai" lol, lovee this kid.

27 today & you are extrodinary in many ways.

Love & Blessings,

Siki-Lou xx
