I love this green blazer...it seriously makes my LIFE and fits like a dream! This was the first time out for a spin for these heels. I usually only ever wear wedges because for me comfort trumps just about everything but today I though a little extra green couldn't hurt!

I can't wait to see how you ladies rocked one of my fave colours! I'm off to do the rounds...

Almost made it...

Woo hoo! I'm back in the game...JUST! Phew, I seriously suck at this "be prepared and organised" thing. Any who, this look was thrown together in literally 10 minutes! Like my sister Falala Mele mentioned, we were running super late for church after hitting the gym for a morning boxing session and so I was running around like a mad woman grabbing this and that. My go to when I need to be out of the house in 10 or 15 minutes is a pair of tights and an oversized blouse and a jacket of some sort if its a bit fresh! Even my hairdo is a time saver style I use all the time lol. Slick one side with a bit of hairspray and let the other non-brushed or styled part hang loose and have a party. Sunglasses are always on hand, especially when there is little or no time for makeup. Here is what I wore:

Necklace: Sportsgirl $4/ Pearl ring: Purchased in Broom, WA borrowed from sister's closet/ BYS Matte Lipstick in Brown Sugar: $5

Sheer blouse: Supre $15 last season/ Blazer: Second hand from my uncle's wrdrobe/ Leggings: Kmart $7.50/ Nude Brouge Shoes: $40 Rivers, this season/ Sunglasses: $5 from a New York souveniere store, borrowed from sister's closet.

Yep, I almost...kinda ALMOST made the Aussie Curves cut off time for the Time Saver challenge but you know what they say..."close but no cigar!" I laugh at myself when I think I'm totally prepared or when I tell myself "this week you're gonna do it on time woman" and then I totally don't. This is a prime example of what my poor blogger life is like constantly. Luckily my organisational & time management skills are fantastic professionally or I would have HEAPS of free time to blog about everything I have no time to blog about because work sucks the time out of my life! LOL.

The End.

Aussie Curves: Orange!

Sunday, sunshine and a birthday breakfast date with the ladies...perfect reason to bust out some orange for Aussie Curves! Introducing our beautiful friends, sisters Anne, Josie & Mauana. Anne and my sister Mele went to College together and now teach at the same school. It was Anne and Josie's birthdays this and last week and mine the week before that so we finally got the chance to get together for a little celebratory feed.
The food was yummy and the conversation was even yummier! Lots of giggles were had! I've said this before I'm sure but there is nothing better than good food teamed with good company...a winning combination.

What I wore:

Purple blazer, $6 Salvos/Orange sheer tunic, Big W $25 last season/ Tube skirt, $5 Kmart/Cuff flats, Big W, $23 three seasons back

Earrings $2, MS Opshop/ Wooden carved ring, $12 Caribbean Markets Melbourne/Shades, gifted from a friend/Handbag, $2 Vinnies :)

L-R: Mauana, Josie, Anne & Mele

Are you an orange fan? I love citrus tones and colours, especially in Spring and Summer! I love this sheer top of mine because of its detailing around the neck line and the length. I loooove long flowy tops as it hides my probplem areas best, haha. My own personal magic trick lol. ;)

I can't wait to check out my fellow Aussie Curves lovelies with their take on "OR-ange" as our fellow Americans would say...haha.

Aussie Curves Challenge: Sparkle...

Hello lovely ladies who may happen to pop in! :) This is my very first (and very late lol.) post in the Aussie Curves challenge and I'm excited to finally be taking part!!

My sister joined in on the challenge a few weeks ago and kept telling me all about it so here I am!! And what a week to start...Sparkle! LOL. To be honest this had me so stumped. While I love to give anything a go and I love bold, colour and prints, sparkle has not been my forte for quite a while. I think this is due to the fact that I would pack my eyelids with glitter during my "OHMYGAWWWSH GLITTER IS SO COOOOL" phase back in year 6! Haha, but it is a challenge right? So after a while of brainstorming ideas with sister and not coming up with much and thinking about just skipping this week and waiting for next week I thought I'd just try my luck looking for something at our local op-shops!

So on Tuesday afternoon my niece and I walked into my favourite op-shop in Mildura and right in the doorway was a one dollar rack. Looking through it, totally not thinking I would find anything that I could work with I see this black, sequinned boob tube! I do the stretch test to see if it may fit as the lady in the store saw it's tag fall off. She offers to re-tag her and I tell her not to worry because I'm going to take it. She politely looks puzzled and asks "oh, is it stretch dear?" and I say yep and take it to the counter. Get it home and try to put it on and...coooooool, it so doesn't fit. YAY lol. -_-. But, that didn't stop me. So keeping to our ways, we altered it to make it fit :) . To do this we simply cut it down the back and used one of the stretch spaghetti straps to hold it on as a top and VOILA! I have this sparkle top that I LOVE and for only $1! I now have the Aussie Curves challenge to thank for opening up the world of sparkle for me once again!

As a pure coincidence my whole outfit is thrifted besides my shoes :) I looooooove a bargain item that I know no-one else will be wearing!!

What I've got on:

Purple blazer- Salvo's $3/ Sequinned tube top- MS OpShop $1/ Sheer maxi skirt Vinnies $5

Wedges- online purchase from www.barefoottess.com

Clip on earrings- MS Opshop $2

Hope this finds you lovely ladies well. I'm excited to see how everyone rocks the tribal look next week!

Love xx
