I love this green blazer...it seriously makes my LIFE and fits like a dream! This was the first time out for a spin for these heels. I usually only ever wear wedges because for me comfort trumps just about everything but today I though a little extra green couldn't hurt!

I can't wait to see how you ladies rocked one of my fave colours! I'm off to do the rounds...

Its only 4 months late...

I'm shocking. Yes I said it and it's true. I put my poor baby blog on the back burner all the time because of my constant hectic schedule and lack of means of posting regularly but finally here is a new post, like the title says...only 4 months late.

These photos have been waiting patiently on my USB to see the light of day lol. Here are some pics from New Years Eve house party styles! Christmas/New Year is always family and friends time for me. A time to be around my people and enjoy the family I was blessed to be born into and the friends I that have, over years graduated to family status.

What I wore:

It was HOT so to keep it cool and comfy I went with:

  •  my black stretch cotton dress from H&M's basics line (two seasons ago)
  • the lime/pineapple coloured top is from Kmart (last season) and is also stretch cotton. Here I've worn it back to front but on the actual front of the top is a multi-coloured tribal pattern.
  • Converse All-Stars high tops were a Christmas gift from sister. Inspired by our love for the movie "A Cinderella Story" lol.
  • the clip-on earrings and statement necklace both thrifted
  • Head scarf is actually a large thin, cotton scarf which was a birthday gift from my beautiful sissy Moala who is second from the left in the picture below.

I hope you are all enjoying a prosperous and productive 2013 so far! Here's to actually carrying out one of my only New Year's Resolutions- to blog more often because I love it!

Big love xx

Aussie Curves: PURPLE!

Hello beautiful Aussie Curves readers!

Purple week is here...WOOHOO! I love purple! One of my favvvvve colours to wear, always has been! I have been so busy with travelling home after the Summer holidays, unpacking our lives and getting straight back into preparing for the new teaching year that I have had no time to take any OOTD shots on the good camera (I have managed to get a few on my Samsung Galaxy!).It is definitely not a first choice of mine to use outfit shots from my phone on my blog which is why I have once again dug up some photos from my US trip last June/July to share with you...that and the fact that I just love reliving my USA life LOL. (I need to go back immediately ) Ehh ANYWAY, here is what I wore to the most anticipated night of my life for the whole of 2012...CELINE DION IN CONCERT IN VEGAS!!!!

People laugh at me when I say how much I love Celine because apparrrrrrently she's "old" and for "old people" but WHATEVZ...I will fly my Celine flag high until forever because I truly believe she is the GREATEST voice of our time! There was always a top 3 for me Mariah, Whitney & Celine. Whitney's gone *tear*, Mariah's voice fell down a well & never came back so Celine is the last (wo)man standing with her timeless voice, beauty & Grace. So yeah...I love Celine, LOL.

Here's how I wore purple:

Purple floral shirt/jacket- thrifted, Salvo's $3/  Fluro high-neck shirt, thrifted (Millers) Vinnie's $6/ Ruffle skirt, City Chic $20/ Wedge boots, Rivers $20/ Tan handbag, Equip $15.

Love this sparkle number sister thrifted from one of our favourite local opshops Mickey & Mallory.

I seriously love Ruth's dress she picked up in Forever21 in NYC paired with her blue suede pumps.

Totally clowning with our "sing like Celine" faces. LOL.
Is there a musician or music artist who just makes your whole life? Do tell...

Big Love x

Aussie Curves: Orange!

Sunday, sunshine and a birthday breakfast date with the ladies...perfect reason to bust out some orange for Aussie Curves! Introducing our beautiful friends, sisters Anne, Josie & Mauana. Anne and my sister Mele went to College together and now teach at the same school. It was Anne and Josie's birthdays this and last week and mine the week before that so we finally got the chance to get together for a little celebratory feed.
The food was yummy and the conversation was even yummier! Lots of giggles were had! I've said this before I'm sure but there is nothing better than good food teamed with good company...a winning combination.

What I wore:

Purple blazer, $6 Salvos/Orange sheer tunic, Big W $25 last season/ Tube skirt, $5 Kmart/Cuff flats, Big W, $23 three seasons back

Earrings $2, MS Opshop/ Wooden carved ring, $12 Caribbean Markets Melbourne/Shades, gifted from a friend/Handbag, $2 Vinnies :)

L-R: Mauana, Josie, Anne & Mele

Are you an orange fan? I love citrus tones and colours, especially in Spring and Summer! I love this sheer top of mine because of its detailing around the neck line and the length. I loooove long flowy tops as it hides my probplem areas best, haha. My own personal magic trick lol. ;)

I can't wait to check out my fellow Aussie Curves lovelies with their take on "OR-ange" as our fellow Americans would say...haha.

Big Love x
